PINCKNEYVILLE, IL (KFVS) -

A man accused of murder in the death of a Pinckneyville teenager waived his preliminary hearing in a Perry County courtroom Thursday.

Chad Bennett, 22, faces 1st degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, home invasion, residential burglary, kidnapping and concealment of a homicide death charges in connection with the 2010 death of 15-year-old Sidnee Stephens.

A pre-trial has been set for January 10 at 9 a.m., according to the Perry County State's Attorney Office.

Bennett bonded out of jail on Oct. 25 after posting $50,000 on a $500,000 bond.

Dakota Wall, Stephens' half sister, has a hearing scheduled in January.

She is also facing 1st degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, home invasion, residential burglary and kidnapping charges.

Prosecutors believe that Stevens was held against her will and shot or strangled.

Wall, 20, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge and walked out of the courthouse a free woman in October 2011. She had pleaded to a lesser charge of obstruction a peace officer.

Robbie Mueller was found guilty in September 2012 of murdering 15-year-old Sidnee Stephens in July of 2010. In exchange for his agreement of murder facts, Mueller got a promise from prosecutors not to seek a prison term of longer than 50 years.

Also in September, James Glazier was sentenced to 60 years in prison. Glazier's attorney has already filed an appeal.

The first teen to be convicted in this case, Carl Dane, killed himself before being transferred to prison.

Court documents show the teens entered her home in 2010, kidnapped, strangled, and shot her, then disposed of her body in rural Perry County.
