Sheriff: Man shot in the chest after an argument

KENNETT, MO (KFVS) -

Police say Timmy Lynn Burns Jr., 23, of Hornersville, MO was arrested after a shooting Friday evening near Kennett.

It happened around 8 p.m. Friday on County Road 434.

According to Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder, Burns ans Deray Lee Muntz, 22 got into an argument, when Burns pulled out a gun and shot Muntz in the chest.

Holder says the victim was taken to the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center and was later released. 

Burns is charged with armed criminal action and felon in possession of a firearm.

His bond has been set at $100,000 dollars cash only.
