KSP asking for public's help in Clinton, Ky. cold case

CLINTON, KY (KFVS) -

The Kentucky State Police is looking for the public's help with a cold case in Clinton, Ky.

According to KSP, on Jan. 7, 1985 Duane W. Caldwell and his wife were walking to their vehicle, located at the First Federal Savings and Loan parking lot, after closing their market. When they approached the vehicle, police say an unknown man came out from a nearby alley.

Police say the unknown man was described as a black male, wearing a red ski mask, and had a gun. They say Caldwell and his wife Betty were robbed by the suspect.

Caldwell was shot and killed during the robbery.
