OBION COUNTY, TN (KFVS) -

A Kentucky man was arrested after a traffic stop revealed his vehicle had 80 pounds of marijuana.

Damon Logan, 40, of Greenville, KY was stopped by Agent Scott Watkins of the Union City Police Department. Watkins is assigned to the 27th Judicial Drug Task Force criminal interdiction unit.

During the traffic stop, Watkins' K-9 partner, Kodiak, a narcotic detection dog, conducted a sniff of the vehicle.

During the sniff Kodiak alerted to the presence of narcotics.

About four pounds of marijuana was found in four packages hidden under the bed-liner of the truck.

Watkins determined the gas tank of the truck had also been packed with marijuana.

The truck was taken to another location and the gas tank was dismantled.  Thirty-seven additional packages of marijuana were found in the gas tank.

The total weight of the marijuana seized was 80 pounds with an estimated street value of $80,000.

Damon Logan was charged with possession of schedule 6 marijuana with intent to sell/deliver.

Logan was taken to the Obion County Jail pending arraignment.
