MADISON, AL (WAFF) -
You can help during the holiday season by giving to a military family in need.
The city of Madison has teamed up with the National Guard and Army Reserve for the 8th Annual Madison Cheer Brigade.
For the next few weeks, you can donate items or money to help five military families.
Organizers say some families fall on hard times after returning from deployment.
"They come back home, they're unable to find jobs, and those that do find jobs when they get back, it's just not enough to make ends meet. So this is a way to be able to give back so they can enjoy their holidays," said Gayle Milam with the Madison Cheer Brigade.
