Not everyone was happy to see inches and inches of snow. But those who were, their economy depends on it.
Perhaps none were happier than the local ski resorts.
Thursday night 19 Action News was we're given a firsthand look at the brand new facilities at Brandywine Ski Resort. A $5 million expansion which is a commitment to Northeast Ohio after last year's horrible ski season.
"It's umm, yeah it's hard to put into words," said Steve Mackle, Brandywine and Boston Mills.
It's amazing and it's ready to go. 48,000 square feet ski lodge complete with all brand new equipment.
Including rows and rows of boot driers, skis and boots that have yet to see the snow, a new ski shop, a beautiful bar, cafeteria and yes there's a fire place. All of this is just feet from the skiing.
There have also been improvement to the skiing at Boston Mills, the sister ski resort to Brandywine but the crown jewel is now Brandywine.
"Again it's Ohio. We know that we're going to get the weather eventually and if we have to struggle through a winter or two we know we're going to get it," says Mackle.
