    The powerful storms on Monday afternoon left behind much more then flooded out roadways and downed trees. They also leveled a church in Metropolis that was under construction.The Upper Salem Baptist Church was destroyed by a fire on May 12, 2012. CALVERT CITY, KY (KFVS) -

Traffic on I-24/I-69 near the Purchase Parkway Interchange at Calvert City is open after crews recovered a semi truck from the median.

Traffic in both directions was limited to one lane at Exit 25.
