Falling sleet Sunday made for slick conditions in southeast Missouri and southern Illinois.
A Winter weather advisory was in effect until 6pm CT Sunday for many counties in Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois.
We had reports of cars in the ditch in Marion and other spots in southern Illinois. IDOT trucks were filling up with salt and heading out to salt roads and bridges earlier Sunday.
NWS reminds that temperatures will continue to plummet and fall into the mid to upper teens to lower 20s by Monday morning.
This could cause any existing water on the roadways to freeze, resulting in "black ice" possibilities.
