LIVINGSTON COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -
According to a storm survey by the National Weather Service in Paducah it was an EF-2 tornado that hit Hampton, Kentucky Saturday in Livingston County destroying a church.
Officials say the twister began on southwest side of town and traveled northeast along Highway 838 ending 1.5 miles northeast of town, with a path length of 1.75 miles and width of 175 yards.
The sanctuary of one church collapsed, while a second church had steeple blown off and some shingle damage. A few homes received shingle damage.
Several trees were blown down and/or snapped.
