HAYTI, MO (KFVS) -
A Hayti, Missouri man
is facing kidnapping charges.
Derrick A.
Luster, 31, of Hayti, was charged Sunday with kidnapping. He is scheduled to appear on January 14 in Pemiscot County Division II Court where he
will reportedly face additional charges.
According to Chief Paul Sheckell, officers were dispatched to a residence overnight Friday about a reported kidnapping.
Sheckell says the victim had escaped and was standing by a ditch on County Road 266.
After an
investigation, it was learned Luster was a suspect.
Luster
turned himself into the Hayti police department around 5 p.m. Saturday.
He was
processed and taken to Pemiscot County Justice Center with no bond.
