SPRINGFIELD, IL (KFVS) -
A St. Louis man was arrested for his alleged involvement in a bank robbery that occurred in October 2012.
Sheriff Oliver "Glenn" Boyer states that personnel from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office made an arrest regarding the armed robbery reported on Friday October 5, 2012, at the U.S. Bank located inside the Schnucks store at 21 Dillon Plaza, High Ridge.
Detectives conducted a follow up investigation in conjunction with agencies that were investigating similar robberies throughout the St. Louis area.
Suspect information was developed, which lead to the arrest of the suspect.
The suspect is identified as Damon M. Gibbs of Joyce Ellen Drive in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Gibbs with Robbery 1st degree.
Gibbs is currently incarcerated at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Jail on a $250,000 cash only bond.
