SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) -
A former Navy man woke up to find his 250 pound steel anchor had been stolen from his front yard in Sikeston, Missouri.
"It's very upsetting," Merlin Hagy, a veteran, said. "It was a symbol to me and meant nothing to them."
Buzz Ferrell with Buzzedart says he made the anchor for Hagy to honor his service in the Navy.
"Almost everything he does is Navy-related," Ferrell said.
Ferrell says his intent for making these anchors was to pay respects for military individuals.
"It had no monetary value to," Hagy said. "I looked at it everyday."
Ferrell estimates that he has made three or four for different people in Sikeston as well as others in the Lake of the Ozarks area.
