MOUNDS, IL (KFVS) -
The Alexander/Pulaski County branch of the NAACP is celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with their annual memorial breakfast.
Their 19th annual breakfast will be held at the Meridian Elementary School Gymnasium in Mounds, Illinois.
The breakfast starts at 9 a.m. The keynote speaker is Father Joseph Brown, Director of the African-American Studies Department at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
There will also be entertainment and a silent auction.
Donations to attend are $12. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.
