Carbondale police investigate reported armed robbery

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

Carbondale police are investigating an armed robbery that happened on Wednesday.

Officers say around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, that the victim was approached in the 300 block of South Wall Street by three unknown black males who reportedly took property from the victim while one of them was armed with a handgun.

Police say suspects then left the area on foot.

The suspects were described as young black males between the ages of 15-18-years-old. One of the suspects was described as wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
