Northern Iowa shuts down SIU Basketball team

Cedar Falls, Iowa -

The Northern Iowa shut down the Southern Illinois basketball team 58-45 Wednesday night.

The Salukis were held below 59 points for the first time this season and the 45 point total was the low mark in the 51 game history between the two schools.

With the loss SIU fell to 8-11 and 1-7 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
