If you've ever made a mistake or done something wrong, a kid in Spain is probably about to make you feel a little better about it.
On Monday, an 11-year-old boy in Spain took some serious measures to make sure his parents didn't find out about his poor school grades.
MSN Now reports the young boy faked his own kidnapping to stop a parent-teacher conference.
The boy sent a text message to his father, a police officer, right before the meeting. The message said the boy had been kidnapped and was locked in the trunk of a car.
The father then called the boy who told him he had, in fact, been kidnapped and he didn't know where his captures were taking him.
Road blocks were set up and police were sent out in full force looking for the kidnappers in hopes of finding the boy.
A couple of hours later, the boy's father reportedly realized that the extra set of keys to his apartment were missing and that's when he started putting things together.
The boy was then discovered at the apartment and explained he was 'terrified' of his parents going to the meeting and finding out how poorly he had been doing in school.
A local newspaper reported the story saying the boy's poor school performance explained the behavior that 'no one...could understand.'
