GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) -

A Murray State bus carrying a Women's track team has overturned on I-69.

It happened around 10:30 A.M. at Mile Marker 43; that's near the Gibson County/Pike County line.

State Police say nine people were on the bus including the driver. We're told four people were injured and the most severe injury is a broken arm.

Injured:
• Katie Forsehy, 21, Murray State University, Murray, KY
• Tonia Pratt, 19, Murray State University, Murray, KY
• Abbie Oliver, 20, Murray State University, Murray, KY
• T.J. Wirth, 23, Murray State University, Murray, KY

All were taken to the Jasper Memorial Hospital.

State police say the accident was caused by the bus sliding on the ice, running off the road, and tipping over.

The bus was one of several headed north on the way to Bloomington to compete in Indiana Relays at IU.

Another Murray State bus was there to pick up the rest of the team members.
