CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

A Cape Girardeau woman is out to prove that 60 is the new 40.

Charlie Harrison's birthday is next week, and she doesn't want to celebrate the big day alone.

Charlie's got a unique way to score a date: She's turning to YouTube.

She hopes a 57-second video will encourage a nice list of men looking for a special date next Friday night.

In the video, she starts out by saying, "Hi, I'm Charlie, and I have a proposition for you. On Friday, February 1, I start the sixth decade of my life."

Charlie Harrison is on a mission. She is turning to the power of the Internet for help.

She's been off the market for about seven years.

She went through a divorce, and then battled thyroid cancer in 2005.

"It hit me, 60 that's a really big deal," said Harrison.

She's cancer free, and is ready for that next chapter in her life.

"I'm where I want to be professionally, but not quite personally," said Harrison. "So, that is why I made this video. I don't want to spend my birthday alone."

Charlie works as a counselor, and one day on a slow day at work she asked a co-worker to shoot the YouTube video.

"This is just fun," said Harrison. "If something comes of it, okay, if not that's okay too."

For the record though, she's looking for a man around her age.

"I'd like someone close to retirement, I want to learn to play golf and travel," Harrison said.

She also wouldn't mind someone tall and good looking, like actor Liam Neeson.

She has an idea for the perfect first date.

"He would come to my house and pick me up then open the door to the vehicle, and has made dinner reservations-so he isn't going to ask where do you want to go," said Harrison.

So, while unconventional Charlie is hoping for a connection.

"If you don't get chosen the first time, I'll keep your number," laughs Harrison.

Charlie says her adult children have no idea their mother put out this video, although now they're sure to find out.
