US 60 in Ky. reduced to one lane after semi overturns

KEVIL, KY (KFVS) -

US 60 near Kevil, Ky. will be reduced to one lane for several hours after a semi truck overturned early Tuesday morning.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, around 2 a.m. on Jan. 29, deputies responded to a report of an overturned semi on US 60 near the intersection of Wren Road.

Deputies found that Robert Linton, 62, of North Carolina was traveling westbound on US 60 when he ran off the road and into the ditch. 

Linton was not hurt in the accident.

The semi truck was pulling a Tyson Foods trailer loaded with 38,000 pounds of frozen chicken.

McCracken County Sheriff's Department was assisted on scene by Mercy Regional EMS, West McCracken Fire, DES and Kentucky Health Department.

Us 60 is expected to be reduced to one lane for several hours while the investigation and clean up continues.
