KENNETT, MO (KFVS) -

Police say a Kennett man was jailed following a four-wheeler theft investigation.

William Ramey, 23 of Kennett, was taken to the Dunklin County Jail Monday awaiting formal filing of felony stealing charges.

Police say they were notified Monday about two four wheelers being taken from the 500 block on North Everett street in Kennett.

Around two hours later, the victim told police they got information possible whereabouts of two suspicious four wheelers hidden behind a residence on Clipper Street.

After officers got on the scene, a man saw the officers and began running. Officers detained the suspect near the corner of North Walnut and Washington.

The victim identified the four wheelers that were hidden behind a residence in some shrubbery, as the two that were stolen.
