Todd Richard's wife Dara makes a wonderful spinach dip perfect for snacking on during the Super Bowl.
- 1 package (9 or 10 oz.) baby spinach, chopped or 1 package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
- 1 container (16 oz.) sour cream
- 1 cup Real Mayonnaise
- 1 package (1.4 oz.) Vegetable recipe mix (dry soup/dip mix)
- 1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, drained and chopped or minced (optional)
Combine all ingredients and chill at least 2 hours. Serve with your favorite dippers (crackers, chips or bread).
Tip: This dip is delicious with a Hawaiian Bread Bowl. Just scoop out the center of the bread bowl fill the hole with the dip. Then cut up the bread that was removed from the center and use as a dipper. I also purchase extra Hawaiian bread and cut it up to serve with it as well.
