The Southeast Missouri State women's basketball team lost its sixth-straight game, losing to Eastern Kentucky 53-49 Saturday night.
The Redhawks shooting woes contributed to the loss as the team shot a season-low 26.5 percent from the field. Despite the team's shooting troubles, Brittany Harriel led Southeast with 16 points.
The Redhawks also weren't able to keep up with the Colonels on the glass as the team was out rebounded 48-40. Patricia Mack accounted for a team-leading 10 rebounds, all coming in the first half.
EKU was led by Marie Carpenter's 15 points and Jade Barber's 14 rebounds. Alex Jones had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Southeast is now 8-14 and 2-7 in the OVC. The Redhawks will head on the road to play Austin Peay on Monday at 7 p.m.
