EASTHAMPTON, MA (WSHM) -

Easthampton High School's assistant principal has been placed on paid administrative leave after being arrested on alleged drunk driving charges in West Springfield last week.

According to the police report obtained by CBS 3, an officer noticed Anne Beauregard's car facing the wrong way resting against a curb.

The report indicates that when the officer approached Beauregard, "her head was bobbing around like she was lost or confused."

The officer reported seeing damage on the front rim of the car and said that he could immediately smell a strong odor of alcohol from her breath.

The report says, "Beauregard was slurring her words so bad that I had to ask her to repeat herself two more times before I understood what she said."

It goes on to say that she was unable to stand on her own. Beauregard refused to take a field sobriety test and a breathalyzer.

This isn't the first time she's has faced such charges. Her driving record goes back decades, and includes at least three drunk driving charges and one endangered driving charge.

As of this most recent incident Beauregard's license has been suspended for the third time.

Beauregard has pled not guilty to the charges against her. She is due back in court next month.
