THEBES, IL (KFVS) -

Makers of Hot Booties slippers promise once you microwave these shoes, your feet will stay warm for a long time.

Judy Hunter said her feet constantly stay cool while walking on the hardwood floors in her home.  These slippers could come in handy.

The directions say to warm these in 15-to-30 second intervals, but do not heat the slippers for more than a minute and a half at a time.  By about a minute's worth of heating, the shoes are finally warm.  We both really like the fragrance made by the Linseed inside the shoes that supposedly keep them staying warm.

Judy said they feel great.  To be sure, I had her take them off for awhile and then re-try the slippers on to see if they were still warm.  They were!

I had Judy try the shoes for five days.  Over that time, she reported no problems heating or reheating the slippers and said they stay warm for a long period of time.  She also froze the slippers in their special bag to test the other claim.  The cold slippers are supposed to comfort tired, achy feet.  She said this worked, but she prefers the heated slippers better.  The only problem she has is you are not supposed to walk in them.  She's pretty active, and said she would like the shoes better if they were more functional to her lifestyle.

"I'd give them a 'B'. I don't know how long these will end up lasting. You'd think that linseed would eventually stop working, but for $15, it's worth a short-term try."

Hot Booties slippers warm up to a grade 'B' on this Does it Work test.
