MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Three people were injured in a crash on Interstate 24 in McCracken County near the 10 mile marker Thursday morning.

Deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash around 9:15 a.m. Thursday.

Raymond Brown, 45, of Jeffersonville, Ind. was driving a 2012 Dodge van westbound in the left lane when traffic slowed due to road crews working in the right lane.

Carly Sykes, 17, of Benton, Ky. was driving a 1995 Dodge Neon behind a vehicle that avoided the collision by driving into the median. Sykes was not able to stop in time before colliding with the rear of Brown's van, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.

Maria Carey, 71, of Gilbertsville, Ky. was driving a 1994 Ford Tempo behind Sykes. Carey rear ended Sykes after Sykes collided with Brown.

Brown was not injured in the collision.

Sykes was taken to Lourdes Hospital with non-life threatening injures to her knee and abdomen.

Carey and her passenger Rosie Carey, 48, of Gilbertsville, Ky. were both taken to Western Baptist Hospital for non-life threatening injuries to the head and abdomen.

I-24 was down to one lane for about 30 minutes due to the crash.
