Murray State basketball team defeats Belmont

MURRAY, KY (KFVS) -

The Murray State basketball team defeated Belmont Thursday night 79-74 in a battle of first place Ohio Valley Conference teams.

The Racers improved to 8-2 in the OVC while Belmont lost for the first time and is now 10-1 in the league.

Senior Guard Isaiah Canaan led the Racers with 26-points.
