BONNE TERRE, MO (KFVS) -

A Bonne Terre woman is now $100,000 richer.

She won the top prize on a Missouri Lottery "20X the Cash" Scratchers ticket.

According to the Mo. Lottery, Dorinda Cannan, 53, moved from Indiana to Bonne Terre in the last year to be closer to family so she could help care for her mother. She purchased the winning ticket at Bonne Terre Convenience, 919 Benham St. in Bonne Terre, on February 4 and took it home to scratch it.

"I scratched the first numbers off, and it said $5,000," began Cannan. "I'm like, ‘Oh, my gosh!' The excitement just kept building and building. I got done and it totaled up to $100,000!"

After showing family members the ticket, she signed it, took pictures and put it in a safe place until she could claim it the next day.

"I've struggled a lot in my life," explained Cannan. "Right now, my mother is living with me. This is an awesome time. It just came at a great time."
