Bardwell man killed in McCracken County crash

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A Bardwell man died after a two-car collision Thursday evening in Paducah.

It happened on Alben Barkley Drive at the Five Star convenience store.

Witnesses said 75-year-old Chester H. Gray pulled his 2008 Chevrolet Impala from the convenience store lot into the path of a west-bound 2012 Honda Civic driven by 20-year-old Karina M. May.

May was unable to stop before hitting Gray's car broadside in the driver's side.

Gray was taken to Lourdes Hospital, where he died several hours later.

May was taken to Baptist Health for treatment.

The Paducah Police Department's Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating.
