SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

An official snowfall total of 22.8 inches was recorded at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT, placing it second on the all-time list of single-event snowfall totals.  Bradley has served as the Pioneer Valley's official NOAA climate station, with records dating back to 1905.

Here are the top 10 snowfall totals ever recorded at Bradley:

1) Jan. 12, 2011: 24.0 inches

2) Feb. 8-9, 2013: 22.8 inches

3) Feb. 12, 2006: 21.9 inches

4) Feb. 11-12, 1983: 21.0 inches

5) Dec. 19-20, 1945: 18.2 inches

6) Dec. 29, 1945: 17.7 inches

7) Feb. 19-20, 1934: 17.4 inches

8) Feb. 20-21, 1921: 17.0 inches

T-9) Feb. 6-7, 1978: 16.9 inches

T-9) Dec. 26-27, 1947: 16.9 inches

In western Massachusetts, reported snowfall totals were similarly close to two feet across the Springfield area.  Southwick measured 28.3 inches of snow, Westfield 23.0 inches, West Springfield 21.0 inches, and Springfield recorded 18.5 inches.

Before Friday's storm, snowfall totals have been very close to average so far this winter season.  Through Thursday, Feb. 7, 22.1 inches of snow has been recorded at Bradley.  The normal-to-date value for snowfall through Feb. 7 is 24.4 inches.

Other major cities throughout New England also saw this storm rank in the top-ten snowfalls on record.  Worcester, MA recorded 28.7 inches, placing it third on the city's all-time list.  Boston's total of 24.9 inches also ranked fifth all-time, while 17.0 inches in Providence ranked ninth all-time.
