CARRIER MILLS, IL (KFVS) -

An explosion at the Caterpillar Service and Repair Mining in Carrier Mills, Ill. Monday morning has left one employee burned.

According to Rusty Dunn, a corporate spokesperson for the company, an explosion happened between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11. He said the explosion happened in a paint booth that is not part of the main building.

One employee was hurt and taken to a St. Louis hospital for burn treatment. Investigators are still working to figure out what caused the explosion.

Seventy people work at the facility. Dunn said no one else got hurt besides the employee who was burned.
