SEMO Women edge out SIUE

The Southeast Missouri State women's basketball team defeated SIU Edwardsville Monday Morning at the Show Me Center 67-62.

The game tipped off about 11:00 a.m. as part of the first Classroom on the Court initiative.

Several area schools participated in the learning experience designed to take the learning process to the hardwood.

Kara Wright scored 20 points for the third  in time in the last six games to lead the Redhawks to victory.

With the win, SEMO Improves to 10-15, 4-8 and SIUE drops to 12-12 and 6-6.

Southeast returns to action Saturday at defending Ohio Valley Conference champion UT Martin for a 4:00 p.m. tip off.
