CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS/KAIT) – Police say a man they've been searching for since Wednesday night has been found in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Craighead County Investigator Justin Rolland says that Eric Kent was arrested along with Kent's father and a female passenger in Cape Girardeau.

According to Cape Girardeau Police Department, there was a chase of one supect with officers on Cape Rock Road on foot before they were arrested. The suspect who fled was captured quickly.

Police say they found the suspects by making a traffic stop. There were no injuries and police say it was a safe traffic stop.

The three suspects are in custody, and police say warrants and charges are pending.

The Craighead County Sheriff's Office, Greene County Sheriff's Department and Arkansas State Police searched for Eric Kent who was wanted in a domestic incident Wednesday morning out of Greene County.

On day one of the search, a K-9 unit was used to track the suspect and located a chrome plated pistol in a wooded area off Highway 358 on the Craighead and Greene County line.

Arkansas State Police also searched by helicopter Wednesday night.

Craighead County Sheriff's deputies were the north Jonesboro area Thursday afternoon, but didn't want to give exact locations for fear that Kent could be following their movements online.

Police say Kent should be considered armed and dangerous.

Region 8 News obtained the incident report from police involving Kent and the suspected domestic assault of a woman.  According to Jonesboro police, the victim of the domestic incident was seen walking into the garage of a Jonesboro home on Wednesday morning.

The witness told police the victim was "covered in blood" and that both of her eyes were blackened.  Police arrived at the scene and discovered the victim, who had since left the garage.

The victim told police that around 11 p.m. Tuesday, she was stopped by her boyfriend Eric Kent on a county road around Brookland.  She told police Kent hit her and forced her into his 1990 tan Jeep Cherokee. According to the woman's statement, Kent was upset that she was at her ex's home earlier in the day.

The victim claims Kent repeatedly hit her while driving.  Sometime later Kent pulled into a gas station on Stadium Boulevard where the woman told police she managed to escape.

Police officers began patrolling the area for Kent.  He was seen by one officer returning close to the area were the woman was.

As the officer tried to pull over Kent, he "gunned the vehicle" and headed toward Stadium Boulevard.  The officer says he pursued Kent throughout Jonesboro until he lost sight of him on two county roads east of Jonesboro.

Kent's abandoned Jeep was located by police.  Authorities continued to search the area for Kent late into the night. The search was called off early Thursday Morning.

On day two of the search, both Craighead and Greene County Sheriffs deputies continued to search for Kent.

The investigation is under Craighead County but the two sheriff department's were collaborating in an effort to find Kent.

According to investigator Justin Roland with the Craighead County Sheriffs Department, deputies had moved forward with leads all day.

"Officers are going to these locations, whether they be residences or an abandoned building or whatever, they are conducting searches at this time," Roland said.
