Two wrecks block the southbound lanes of Interstate 55

SCOTT CITY, MO (KFVS) -

Police in Scott City raced to the scene of two different wrecks on Interstate 55 Friday night.

The wrecks happened around 8:00p.m. at the 90 mile marker.

Our photographer at the scene tells us the southbound lanes of Interstate 55 are backed up to about the 92 mile marker.

Police tell us both southbound lanes of the interstate were closed at one point but one of the lanes has reopened.

Investigators say no one was hurt in either wreck.
