Kennett Police say to 'Click it or Ticket'

Posted: Updated:
KENNETT, MO (KFVS) -

The Kennett Police Department are stepping up seat belt enforcement.

The Kennett Police Department will be joining efforts with law enforcement statewide on February 22 for an aggressive "Click It or Ticket" campaign to get drivers to buckle up-and save more lives.

Police say nearly one in four Missouri drivers are still not wearing a seat belt.

"Local motorists should be prepared for stepped up Click It or Ticket enforcement," said Lt. Tim Trowbridge, Kennett Police Department. "We'll be out there to remind you seat belts can, and do, save lives."

Trowbridge says this will be a continued effort throughout the year.
