MORLEY, MO (KFVS) -
The Scott County sheriff says a Morley man is facing drug and gun related charges after a search of his home reportedly turned up the items.
Christopher S. Shipman, 39, of Morley, has been charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and four counts of unlawful use of a firearm. Bond was set at $100,000.
According to Walter, Shipman was illegally in possession of several guns.
During service of the search warrant, Walter says multiple guns, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and precursors commonly associated with the manufacturing process of methamphetamine were allegedly seized.
Walter says a substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine was also reportedly found inside the home.
Walter said it's important for people to write down the serial numbers for items they own, even tools. That can help them look in police reports for the stolen items, and match them with the owner.
"They don't think if it ever gets stolen it's never going to get returned, but if you looked at what we walked through in the search warrant, there was thousands of dollars worth of tools in this place and this guy doesn't work, he's never worked he doesn't use them, he was just looking to sell them," said Walter.
During the search of the Shipman residence, investigators also say they found assorted wildlife remains which were turned over to the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Shipman was taken to the Scott County Jail with the possibility of additional charges being filed.
