St. Louis pastor wants kids to trade-in toy weapons

Posted: Updated:

A pastor in St. Louis says his church is wanting to "buyback" kids' toy guns.

According to MSN Now, Pastor Rodney Francis of Washington Tabernacle Baptist Church says parents can bring their children's toy weapons, such as swords and guns, to the church and trade it in for a toy that isn't violent.

Francis hopes that doing this will help stop the culture of violence that he says children are exposed to.

The pastor worries that children are exposed to violence at younger ages and that parents should do what they can to ensure kids don't get exposed too early.

Francis also adds that society should make "wholesome" toys more available to children.
