1 dead following house fire in Jefferson County, Mo.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

One person is dead after a house fire in Jefferson County early Tuesday morning.

Jefferson County Sheriff deputies reported to the 1400 block of Ridge Road in Fenton around 6 a.m. after a reported house fire.

Jefferson County Sheriff Oliver "Glenn" Boyer says Charles Odell, 24, of Fenton, Mo.

The next of kin have been notified.

Odell had been staying at the home by himself.

The cause of the fire is currently undetermined but the fire appears to have started in a bedroom. The investigation is ongoing.
