RECTOR, AR (KAIT/KFVS) – Law enforcement continues to investigate a Friday night shooting in Clay County, Arkansas.

Rector police tells Region 8 News the shooting happened around 11 or 11:30 Friday evening at 212 West Crest in Rector, Arkansas.

Arkansas State Police said they're investigating.

Brant Tosh with Arkansas State Police said Adam Hackworth was taken to the Clay County Jail on $500,000 bond.

Hackworth from Piggott is the suspected shooter. Two victims were taken to The Med in Memphis, and they were reported in stable condition.

Neighbors in the area said they're shocked this happened.

"It's a real quiet neighborhood, we've never had any problems, with the neighbors and anything, and we've never had any problems, with the, you know I've never heard anything out of the way, or anything in the ordinary, going on anywhere," said Yvonne Dodd.

A family friend of one of the victims said she's still in the hospital, and unable to see out of one of her eyes.

"I'm shocked that anybody can go this far, period, but there were warning signs, but I never, to this extreme, this is the most, I just don't understand how a man could ever do that to a woman period, no matter what the situation is," said Daniel Walton.

Friends have set up a fund for the victims at the Integrity First Bank to help with medical bills.
