A fire in Oran destroyed a 2-story house on Tuesday morning. According to the Oran Fire Department, it happened at 4:05 a.m. at 907 highway W, which is right in the middle of town. Firefighters
No one was living in the home at the time of the time. Fire crews tell Heartland News that the family had just moved out.
GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
Because of the slushy winter weather, several accidents were reported on roadways around Mid-Michigan Thursday morning.
Most accidents were reported in Genesee County, where police have been quite busy.
Conditions continue to improve so reports have accidents have slowed considerably.
Here are some of the accidents that were reported Thursday morning.
Police responded to multiple accidents on southbound I-75. One was at the exit ramp with Dort Highway. The other accident was reported at the exit ramp of eastbound I-69. An accident has been reported on SB I-75 at West Pasadena Avenue in Flint Township at 6:31 a.m. All of those accidents have been cleared.
On northbound I-75, an accident was reported at West Mount Morris Township. That accident happened at 5:58 a.m. The area has since been cleared.
There was also an accident reported on northbound I-475 at the exit ramp with northbound I-75. Another accident was reported on SB I-475 and East Bristol Road in Burton. That accident was reported at 5:59 a.m. The scene is now clear.
There are reports of an accident on SB I-475 at the SB I-75 exit ramp. The call came in around 6:40 a.m. Another accident was reported on SB I-75 at West Pierson Road. That accident was reported at 6:43 a.m. Both of those accidents have been cleared.
There was also a report of a crash on eastbound I-69 at northbound I-75. That crash was reported around 6:53 a.m. The scene is cleared in that accident.
Other accidents are reported on SB I-475 at Detroit Street. Also a crash was reported on NB I-475 at North Saginaw Street. Both of those accidents have been cleared.
Police are urging drivers to use caution when navigating secondary roads.
There are no reports of any road closures at this time.
