PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A West Paducah man was arrested after the McCracken County Sheriff's Department received the results of a toxicology report.

Jeremy D. Childers, 33, was charged with first degree assault, two counts of first degree criminal mischief and there are more charges pending.

On Feb. 27, officers received the results of a toxicology report from Childers' blood that was taken after a car crash he was involved in on Jan. 29.

They say the results showed that Childers was over the legal limit while driving in the 6800 block of Noble Road.

According to the sheriff's department, passenger Roy A. Glisson received major injuries when he was ejected from the car that resulted in the loss of both of his legs.

Officers say an arrest warrant was obtained for Childers for assault first degree due to the injuries to Glisson. Other charges on the warrant were two counts of criminal mischief first degree for property damage that was sustained to a Jackson Purchase Energy utility pole and a BellSouth Telephone box. The damages are estimated to be over $1,000.

On Feb. 28, Childers was arrested without incident at his West Paducah home.
