GEORGETOWN, Ky. (AP) - A Scott County jury has convicted a man in the killing of his parents.
WKYT-TV reported the verdict was returned around 11 p.m. Thursday against 43-year-old Anthony Gray, convicting him of 2 murder counts and evidence tampering.
James Edward Gray and Vivian Louise Jones Gray were found shot to death inside their Sadieville home in April 2007. Another jury deadlocked at Anthony Gray's first trial in 2012.
According to the Georgetown News-Graphic, the seven-man, five-woman jury began deliberations just after noon Thursday.
After the verdict came back 11 hours later, jurors immediately deliberated the sentence. At about 3:30 a.m. Friday, the jury recommended Gray serve 45 years in prison.
