PALMER, MA (WSHM) -

Palmer residents met with Mohegan Sun representatives Monday night for the first time in months.

The casino company unveiled a new logo and design for their multi-million dollar proposal.

Reps did not want to give much away to the competition, but it left some residents with unanswered questions.

"I really don't know anymore than I knew then," said Rocqueline Blazejowski of Palmer.

She and other residents still want answers after packing into Pathfinder to hear the very latest from Mohegan Sun's team.

"People are getting very anxious about the whole thing," Blazejowski said.

Mohegan Sun reps did reveal new renderings of their $700-$800 million proposal off Route 32 as well as a new logo, officially calling their project Mohegan Sun Massachusetts.

"It benefits Worcester, it benefits Springfield, it benefits Palmer and this entire region," said Chief Executive Officer of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, Mitchell Etess.

The casino company has been relatively quiet in the past few months compared to their three competitors in Western Mass.

Town manager Charlie Blanchard says he thinks residents want to see the same level of detail come out of Mohegan.

"A lot more of the information on the details came forward so I think that's what people here would like to see," Blanchard said.

But Mohegan Sun reps are still keeping details relatively quiet, saying they don't want to tip off the competition.

They also say they've been vocal for the past three years in the community.

"We have done just that, tonight we are going to publicly say that our project is going to have at least $150 million more in amenities, things that really address the concerns of the gaming commission," Etess said.

But residents still want to see more details, especially related to traffic, and how much money the company plans on putting into the community.

"I understand why they're being closed about the whole thing because of the competition, but I think the people of Palmer are anxious to know some of the details," Blazejowski said.

Blanchard says they are in negotiations with Mohegan reps to create their community host agreement.

They are expecting a town-wide vote to be held sometime in early fall.
