SIU Women defeat Evansville Basketball team

The 10th seeded Southern Illinois University women's basketball team defeated 7th seeded Evansville 83-74 Thursday night in the Opening round of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.

The Salukis outscored Evansville 15-6 in Overtime and snapped a 16-game losing streak and also posted the program's first MVC Tourney win since 2008.
