Interstate Crash shuts down southbound lanes

ELKVILLE, IL (KFVS) -
Jackson County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating an incident where a person was hospitalized with severe burns.
According to Det. Julia Loy, sheriff's office personnel were called to Memorial Hospital in Carbondale Wednesday evening where a person was being transferred to a St. Louis hospital with severe burns.
A home northwest of Elkville was found to be the location of the fire. Detectives say the incident is suspicious.
