A woman was injured Saturday morning after the truck she was in almost hit two houses in Cape Girardeau.

According to the Cape Girardeau Police Department, the 59-year-old woman was traveling west on the 1700 block of William Street when she lost consciousness in her Sierra pickup truck.

She lost control of the truck and crashed through some fencing in a back yard.

Her truck barely missed hitting one house before tearing up some fencing. The truck stopped just short of hitting another house after crashing into another fence.

She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with injuries due to a medical problem.

William Street was reduced to westbound traffic for a short time.
