BONNE TERRE, MO (KFVS) -
A Bonne Terre man was killed when he was thrown from his motorcycle Friday evening.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. Friday on MO Route 8 at Old MO Route 8 in Washington County, Missouri.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, a car was stopped in the eastbound lane of Highway 8, waiting to turn left.
A 2005 Yamaha V Star driven by George H. Carr, 69, of Bonne Terre, Missouri, was eastbound on Highway 8 when he applied the motorcycle's brakes and lost control.
The motorcycle overturned throwing Carr from the vehicle. He was taken by ambulance, and later pronounced dead at Washington County Memorial Hospital.

Contestants from all 50 states and territories of the Unites States went heel to heel on stage at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Miss Connecticut, Erin Brady, ended up walking away with the grand title of Miss USA, but it was Miss Utah who really stood out from the rest of the competitors.
