MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Two people face several drug charges following an investigation in McCracken County on Thursday night.

McCracken County Sheriff's Department Drug Detectives searched the home of Kerry Egner, 50, of Paducah around 8 o'clock on Thursday night and found Egner along with 24-year-old Amber Gilbert inside.

According to the sheriff's department, detectives found methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $1,500, digital scales, syringes loaded with methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, prescription medication and other drug paraphernalia.

Also seized was money believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales and firearms that were located close to the methamphetamine.

Officials say Gilbert was recently released from prison and was on parole for drug offenses.

Gilbert was charged with firearm enhanced trafficking methamphetamine over 4 grams, 2nd offense; possession of cocaine; possession of methamphetamine; possession of controlled substance, 3rd degree-Xanax; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia and failing to notify the Department of Transportation of an address change.

Egner also faces multiple drug charges.

Egner and Gilbert were both taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible in the case.
