Body pulled from river in Ludlow

LUDLOW, MA (WSHM) -

Ludlow police detectives and state police are investigating the discovery of a body that was pulled from the Chicopee River Monday afternoon.

Ludlow police confirmed to CBS 3 Springfield that a body was discovered in the area of the Ludlow Bridge.

Police say that detectives, the Ludlow Fire Department and state police criminal investigators were called to the scene.

Police could not confirm the identity or whether or not foul play is suspected.

The body is now in the hands of the medical examiner's office.
