FULTON, KY (KFVS) -

A Fulton, Kentucky man was arrested, accused of leading police on a chase, shooting at a trooper, and sparking a three-hour-long stand off.

Joshua White, 22, faces several charges including fleeing police and operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Troopers say it all started around 10:30 a.m. Monday when a trooper tried to stop White.

They say he took off and holed up inside an apartment complex with 19-year-old Kali Papierski and two young children.

Papierski and the children were released from the home after two and a half hours.

She was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension and endangering the welfare of a child. Investigators say she helped White flee.
