Police: Caruthersville woman faces charges after stabbing

CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KFVS) -

Police say a Caruthersville woman is facing charges after she allegedly stabbed a man on Friday.

It happened on March 22 in the 100 block of East 14th Street, according to Caruthersville Police Chief Tony Jones.

Jones says Teddy Carter, 33, of Caruthersville was stabbed in the left side by a relative and taken to a local hospital.

Vanita Carter, 39 of Caruthersville, was charged with assault first degree and armed criminal action.
